4 October 2023. Another 155 nautical miles behind us. At eight, AIDAluna entered Kristiansand.
A beautiful concert hall and an old-fashioned fish market with lobsters and crabs welcomed us into town. From there, we walked to Odderøya to see the lighthouse. The island is dotted with student clubs and historic defences. We wandered the paths and admired the landscape. Watching those views is a pleasure all of its own.
Back in the centre by lunchtime, we walked the waterfront, ate at one of the many sushi bars, visited a magnificent Catholic church, and saw an exhibition on the fifth floor of the local library. After Stavanger, Kristiansand didn’t offer much to do.
Departure at six. Dinner, a rock concert and acrobatics in the atrium theatre that evening.
